2 pounds ground turkey
2 teaspoons minced fresh garlic
1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
¼ cup onion, minced
½ avocado, smashed
½ teaspoon each ground coriander and cumin
1 tsp curry powder (more or less to taste)
¼ cup fresh salsa, drained well
High 5 Salt of your choice to taste
High 5 Fixer Upper to taste
Directions
- pre-heat a medium sauté pan over medium heat; in a bit of neutral oil, sauté garlic, ginger, and onion until golden and fragrant
- add curry, cumin, coriander, and cardamom and toast lightly; remove from heat and allow to cool
- mix turkey, avocado, salsa, and garlic mixture to combine, along with about 2 teaspoons High 5 Salt of your choice (or to taste)
- thoroughly cook a small piece of turkey and taste; adjust seasoning
- divide the mixture into 8 log-shaped patties and grill over medium-high heat until completely cooked through, about 4 minutes per side
- serve in warm pita or naan with plain yogurt and sliced cucumber and a pinch of High 5 Fixer Upper
